Darkness Is Good is a B&W digitally-animated short. Using a ritual song of the Mbuti people of Congo as its soundtrack, the film cycles through a series of abstract symbols and images morphing into one another with seemingly little connection. Upon closer inspection however, patterns and relationships begin to emerge. With the hourglass motif at its centre, the film is palindromic in form, with symbols at opposite ends of the film representing two halves of binary oppositions – light and dark, birth and death, etc.

Darkness Is Good is intended to be played on a loop, but also functions as a standalone film.
